چکیده

Mexico is the fourth largest producer of mango and leading exporter worldwide, cv ‘Ataulfo’ area sown in country. New cultivars are required to maintain production, ensure competitiveness, mitigate problems with pests diseases. The purpose present study was identify microsatellite (SSR) markers zygotic nucellar seedlings originated by embryo seeds, cultured vitro. DNA extracted from foliar tissue 18 four different populations, its origin identified six SSRs: MIAC-4, MIAC-5, mMiCIR003, mMiCIR030, LMMA1, LMMA9. number alleles found varied two three, allele size ranged 95 325 bp. Based on polymorphism taking place microsatellites genetic similarity index (GSI) data, more than 15% analyzed were be female parent. Nei’s distance UPGMA cluster analysis, variability among populations 6.2%. Key words: Mangifera indica L., polyembryony, microsatellites.

Identification of Linked Markers for Delayed Fruit Ripening in Tomato Using Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) Markers

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is an important vegetable crop and acts as model plant for fruit development studies. Besides that, post-harvest damage is a devastating phenomenon often associated with ripening process in tomato which in turn leads to greater yield loss. Understanding the genetics, molecular and biochemical pathways is the key to overcome the existing situation. In th...

Genetic Diversity of pear (Pyrus spp) Germplasm Assessed by Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) and Morphological Traits

This study was conducted to identify and recognize relations and diversity among accessions of the Iranianpears (Pyrus spp). A total of 34 pear accessions, derived presumably from at least six species, were subjected to simple sequence repeat (SSR) analysis. The Japanese and the Chinese pear samples were; “Housui” and “Yali” cultivars, example of Pyrus pyrifolia and P. bretschneideri, respectiv...

Simple sequence repeat marker loci discovery using SSR primer.

SUMMARY Simple sequence repeats (SSRs) have become important molecular markers for a broad range of applications, such as genome mapping and characterization, phenotype mapping, marker assisted selection of crop plants and a range of molecular ecology and diversity studies. With the increase in the availability of DNA sequence information, an automated process to identify and design PCR primers...

Expressed Sequence Tag-Simple Sequence Repeat (EST-SSR) Marker Resources for Diversity Analysis of Mango (Mangifera indica L.)

In this study, a collection of 24,840 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) generated from five mango (Mangifera indica L.) cDNA libraries was mined for EST-based simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. Over 1,000 ESTs with SSR motifs were detected from more than 24,000 EST sequences with diand tri-nucleotide repeat motifs the most abundant. Of these, 25 EST-SSRs in genes involved in plant development, ...
